Proud to support World Record Charity Bike Ride across Africa
Over 10,000km, six athletes from Egypt, Kenya, Zimbabwe , South Africa and the UK have been riding from Cairo to Cape Town to break the world record for the fastest human-powered crossing of the continent. The team has fought their way through temperatures soaring above 45 degrees in Egypt, scorpion attacks in Sudan, brutal mountain roads in Ethiopia, washed away dirt tracks in Tanzania and an El Nino-induced heatwave in southern Africa.Their effort has demonstrated the impact two-wheeled, pedal-powered transport can have in the great distances of rural Africa. Please show your support for their extraordinary achievement by donating to their favoured charity, World Belief Relief, delivering rugged, locally-assembled bikes to help students get to school, farmers get to market and healthcare workers get to patients.

How G4S Supported the Charity Bike Race
G4S Africa and G4S Risk Consulting in London have been delighted to support their effort, both in pre-race security risk assessments and in control centre support, monitoring the riders as they travel across national borders through the new Travel Aware smartphone app, a new 24/7 tracking and alerting service to help organisations provide duty of care for their staff.
